Biography
MacKenzie Lowe is the ADA Coordinator for Larimer County Government in Northern Colorado. She coordinates, everything related to accessibility within
Larimer County Government buildings, programs, services, and departments including but not limited to ADA compliance within existing buildings,
new construction, public lands and open spaces, emergency management, digital accessibility compliance, education, and training.
She is also the communities’ primary resource for accessibility within Larimer County Government programs, services, and buildings.
MacKenzie also collaborates with other agencies for support/guidance with accessibility in the Rocky Mountain Region. She is a founding member
of Accessibility Professionals Association (APA) Rocky Mountain Chapter and currently serves on the board as Secretary. She holds and maintains
her ADA Coordinator Certificate (ADAC) from the University of Missouri and holds a B.A. in Theatre Design/Technology from the University of Northern Colorado.
Prior to joining Larimer County, MacKenzie worked full-time in the live entertainment industry as a venue manager, small business owner, consultant,
production manager, mentor, professor, stage manager and lighting designer in both the public and private sectors. Now when she isn’t working
for Larimer County, she is in the community supporting local productions and events, traveling, or exploring the great outdoors.
