Biography
Technical Director in the Seattle region, responsible for a broad range of accessibility services, including design and constructability reviews, work-in-place verification, construction observation services, construction administration, and property condition assessments. I conduct accessibility reviews on a variety of property types including hotels, office, shopping centers, multifamily properties, senior living facilities, student housing, and affordable housing projects for owners and developers and defendants in complaints. Consulting efforts focus on compliance with the variety of accessibility mandates including the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Federal Fair Housing Amendments Act (FHA) of 1988, the Architectural Barriers Act, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, and state and local codes. In additional to the services listed above,
I am an ICC Certified Accessibility Inspector/Plans Examiner and a member of the Accessibility Professionals Association (APA) holding APA-ADA Specialist and APA-ADA Transient Lodging certificates through the APA. I have also attended Harvard University Graduate School of Design Executive Education studying accessibility standards, guidelines, requirements, and lawsuits pertaining to the Federal Fair Housing Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, Architectural Barriers Act, and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act.
